La clase obrera francesa nos da, de nuevo, una gran lecci\u00f3n de lucha de clases; y empezando por el principio, nos muestra qu\u00e9 es una huelga general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nada que ver con los pat\u00e9ticos simulacros de huelga convocados por nuestras grandes centrales sindicales que no han servido m\u00e1s que para profundizar el sentimiento de impotencia ante el \u00fanico resultado cierto: el descuento en el salario de la jornada no trabajada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La huelga general y las movilizaciones populares, ante un ataque general contra la clase trabajadora, no tienen un final previsto; se lucha hasta la victoria o hasta que se agotan las fuerzas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tras dos meses de movilizaciones contra el aumento de la edad de jubilaci\u00f3n de 62 a 64 a\u00f1os (\u00a1aqu\u00ed vamos por los 67 y, visto el \u00e9xito, el Ministro Escriv\u00e1 prepara la privatizaci\u00f3n de la atenci\u00f3n primaria!), su imposici\u00f3n por Decreto, aplicando la legislaci\u00f3n de excepci\u00f3n prevista en el art\u00edculo 49.3 de la Constituci\u00f3n francesa, no ha hecho sino echar m\u00e1s le\u00f1a al fuego.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La clase obrera ha tomado la batuta. Sab\u00eda lo que hab\u00eda que hacer y dirigi\u00f3 la acci\u00f3n: bloqueo de zonas industriales, de puertos, centrales nucleares, del transporte p\u00fablico y de mercanc\u00edas, de aeropuertos \u2013con la incorporaci\u00f3n a la huelga de los controladores \u2013, de la recogida e incineraci\u00f3n de basuras, paralizaci\u00f3n de la ense\u00f1anza, bloqueo de autopistas dejando los peajes gratuitos, barricadas en puntos estrat\u00e9gicos de las ciudades…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luchan los trabajadores de cada sector junto a todos los dem\u00e1s sectores. As\u00ed, si bien la descarga de barcos la impiden los estibadores, tambi\u00e9n se suman a esos piquetes, los metal\u00fargicos, los del sector el\u00e9ctrico, los estudiantes, incluso los maestros, etc., Los agricultores llevan sus productos a los que ocupan las f\u00e1bricas. Y cuando tras duros enfrentamientos con los antidisturbios, que no pocas veces dejan m\u00e1s heridos entre ellos que entre los trabajadores, como en Saint Nazaire1<\/sup><\/a><\/sup>, y el piquete es desalojado, la lucha se traslada a otro frente; por ejemplo, a derribar el p\u00f3rtico del puente sobre el Loira, impidiendo as\u00ed el paso de camiones cisterna por carretera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El poder obrero se muestra tambi\u00e9n de otras formas. Los trabajadores de la energ\u00eda, mediante operaciones clandestinas, cortan la electricidad a las sedes del partido de Macron, a domicilios de sus diputados y de grandes empresarios, a grandes multinacionales y en especial a firmas de data center, <\/em>a radares de carreteras y otros instrumentos de control. Por el contrario, se provee de electricidad gratuita a hospitales, escuelas, residencias de mayores, barrios obreros donde se concentran los sectores m\u00e1s precarizados…etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y la lucha contin\u00faa jusqu\u00b4 au bout <\/em>(hasta el final). Y no son palabras. Por primera vez en la historia reciente, y retomando una de las reglas sagradas de la AIT, se han puesto en marcha cajas de resistencia que en pocos d\u00edas han recogido m\u00e1s de tres millones de euros2<\/sup><\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La represi\u00f3n, por supuesto, es dur\u00edsima. Hay heridos y cientos de personas detenidas cada d\u00eda. La brutalidad policial ha sido tan grande que hasta el Consejo de Europa ha abierto una investigaci\u00f3n. Un trabajador de 30 a\u00f1os se debate entre la vida y la muerte tras estallarle en la cabeza una grandada explosiva, mientras la prefectura impidi\u00f3 durante horas que recibiera atenci\u00f3n sanitaria. Pero eso solo a\u00f1ade m\u00e1s razones al combate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El objetivo es Macron, pero no s\u00f3lo \u00e9l. Se extiende la conciencia de que es una marioneta de la UE y de la gran burgues\u00eda. Se habla cada vez m\u00e1s de crisis de r\u00e9gimen y de retomar el Programa del Consejo de la Resistencia de 19453<\/sup><\/a><\/sup>, organismo creado en 1943 que coordin\u00f3 y dirigi\u00f3 la resistencia contra el fascismo. Este Programa propuso la nacionalizaci\u00f3n de todos los sectores estrat\u00e9gicos y de \u00e9l surgi\u00f3 la Seguridad Social, con el sistema de pensiones actualmente vigente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00ed mismo, se cuestiona el gasto militar, se propone la salida de la OTAN y la UE, se vinculan las sanciones a Rusia con la carest\u00eda de la vida…, llegando a quemar banderas de Ucrania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quienes protagonizaron la primera revoluci\u00f3n obrera de la historia, La Comuna de 1871, las trabajadoras, las tejedoras de Lyon que ya en 1870 redactaron el primer manifiesto de la historia llamando a los j\u00f3venes a desertar de la guerra francoprusiana, o el pueblo que veng\u00f3 con la guillotina los cr\u00edmenes de siglos de monarqu\u00eda, nos demuestran qu\u00e9 es una huelga general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Que no es solo dejar de trabajar. Es, a partir de ah\u00ed, mostrar y sobre todo tomar conciencia del poder obrero, de ese milagro cotidiano que sale cada d\u00eda de las manos de las trabajadoras y los trabajadores para reproducir la vida, y por lo tanto, de prescindir de esa clase par\u00e1sita que arruina al pa\u00eds y nuestras vidas. Es sacar el genio de la botella…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es esa clase obrera que super\u00f3 los l\u00edmites de las organizaciones sindicales vistiendo con chalecos amarillos el inmenso y diverso proletariado. La misma que fue capaz de tumbar la decisi\u00f3n de la c\u00fapula de su principal sindicato, que pretend\u00eda que la votaci\u00f3n de la Constituci\u00f3n Europea no concern\u00eda a la clase obrera, obligando a la CGT a pedir activamente el NO que sali\u00f3 victorioso. Esa clase reanuda el hilo rojo de la historia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Su poderosa lucha est\u00e1 barriendo como un vendaval furioso todos los r\u00edos de tinta vertidos desde los plum\u00edferos del poder de toda laya o de quienes se instalan en la derrota, proclamando la desaparici\u00f3n de la clase obrera, la ruptura generacional o de g\u00e9nero, las diferencias insalvables entre la clase obrera aut\u00f3ctona e inmigrante o la imposibilidad de luchar contra la todo poderosa represi\u00f3n del Estado en los pa\u00edses centrales del imperialismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La clase obrera francesa, ocupando el centro neur\u00e1lgico de la lucha y demostrando su capacidad de incorporar a otros sectores populares, ha prendido una important\u00edsima mecha en el polvor\u00edn de un capitalismo ag\u00f3nico que no ofrece a la inmensa mayor\u00eda, y sobre todo a la juventud, m\u00e1s que miseria, guerra y barbarie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La clase obrera de los pueblos de Europa tiene ya un camino abierto y un precioso ejemplo a seguir que debemos difundir como un tesoro. Es preciso que lo que con tanto ah\u00ednco ocultan o tergiversan los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, sea desvelado, discutido y analizado en asambleas en los centros de trabajo, en los sindicatos, en los barrios obreros, en la universidad… Es necesario comparar lo que pasa en Francia, con lo que ha sucedido y sucede aqu\u00ed: con todas las reformas laborales y las de las pensiones, con los recortes y privatizaciones de los servicios p\u00fablicos, con la carest\u00eda de la vida, con los gastos militares impuestos por la OTAN, con los planes de destrucci\u00f3n masiva de puestos de trabajo\u2026Y sobre todo, preguntarnos por qu\u00e9 la reacci\u00f3n aqu\u00ed ha sido tan d\u00e9bil o pr\u00e1cticamente inexistente, y qu\u00e9 relaci\u00f3n tiene con la p\u00e9rdida de la independencia de clase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El tiempo apremia y no debemos desaprovechar este ejemplo luminoso. Debemos sacudirnos la impotencia y el sentimiento de derrota y reforzar la organizaci\u00f3n obrera desde la base. No pasar\u00e1 mucho tiempo sin que se intenten aqu\u00ed nuevos ataques. Y no es muy exagerado decir que en la fuerza con la que respondamos nos va la vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ciento cincuenta y dos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, el rescoldo de la Comuna de Par\u00eds sigue latiendo. Marx terminaba as\u00ed su palpitante homenaje y su lapidaria condena a los agoreros del fin de la historia, en \u201cLa guerra civil en Francia\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Par\u00eds de los obreros, con su Comuna, ser\u00e1 eternamente ensalzado como heraldo glorioso de una nueva sociedad. Sus m\u00e1rtires tienen su santuario en el gran coraz\u00f3n de la clase obrera. Y a sus exterminadores la historia los ha clavado ya en una picota eterna, de la que no lograr\u00e1n redimirlos todas las preces de su clerigalla.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The French working class gives us, once again, a great lesson of class struggle, and starting from the beginning, it showed us what a general strike really is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has nothing to do with the pathetic imitation of strikes called by our big trade union centers, which have only served to deepen the feeling of impotence in the face of the only certain result: the deduction from wages of the day not worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general strike and the popular mobilizations, in the face of a general attack against the working class, do not have a foreseen end; we fight until victory or until we run out of strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After two months of mobilizations against the increase in the retirement age from 62 to 64 (here, we are heading for 67, and, in view of the success [pushing through this cutback], Minister Jos\u00e9 Luis Escriv\u00e1 is preparing the privatization of primary care!), its imposition by decree, applying the legislation of exception provided for in article 49.3 of the French Constitution, has only added fuel to the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The working class has taken the lead. This class knew what had to be done and led the action: blockade of industrial zones; of ports; of nuclear power stations; of public and goods transport; of airports, with the incorporation into the strike of the controllers; of garbage collection and incineration; paralysis of education; blockade of highways leaving the tolls free; barricades at strategic points in the cities; and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workers of each sector are fighting alongside all the other sectors. Thus, while the unloading of ships is prevented by the stevedores, the pickets are also joined by the metallurgists, those of the electrical sector, the students, even the teachers, etc. The farmers take their products to those who occupy the factories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when, after heavy clashes with the riot police, which often leave more wounded among the police than among the workers as in Saint Nazaire, and the picket line is dislodged, the struggle moves to another front; for example, to demolish the portal of the bridge over the Loire, thus preventing the passage of tanker trucks by road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workers\u2019 power also showed itself in other ways. The energy workers, through clandestine operations, cut off electricity to the headquarters of Macron\u2019s party, to the homes of his deputies and of big businessmen, to big multinationals and especially to data center firms, to road radar trackers and other instruments of control. On the contrary, free electricity was provided to hospitals, schools, elderly people\u2019s homes, working-class neighborhoods where the most oppressed sectors of the class are concentrated, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the struggle continues jusqu\u2019 au bout (until the end). And these are not just words. For the first time in recent history, and taking up again one of the sacred rules of the International Workers Association, resistance funds have been set up, which in a few days have collected more than 3 million euros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repression is harsh<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The repression, of course, is extremely harsh. Demonstrators have been wounded. Hundreds of people are arrested every day. Police brutality has been so great that even the Council of Europe has opened an investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 30-year-old worker is struggling between life and death, after a grenade exploded against his head, while the prefecture prevented him from receiving medical attention for hours. But that only adds more reason to join the combat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The target is President Emmanuel Macron but not only him. Awareness is spreading that he is a puppet of the European Union and the big bourgeoisie. There is more and more talk of a regime crisis and of taking up again the Program of the 1945 Resistance Council, a body created in 1943 that coordinated and led the resistance against fascism. This program proposed the nationalization of all strategic sectors, and from it arose Social Security, with the pension system currently in force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, military spending is questioned, exits from NATO and the EU are proposed, sanctions against Russia are linked to the high cost of living \u2014 even Ukrainian flags are burned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who led the first workers\u2019 revolution in history, the Commune of 1871, the women workers, the weavers of Lyon who in 1870 wrote the first manifesto in history calling on young people to desert the Franco-Prussian war, or the people who avenged with the guillotine the crimes of centuries of monarchy, showed us what a general strike really is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The genie is out of the bottle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only does the general strike mean to stop working. It means, starting from there, to demonstrate and above all to become conscious of workers\u2019 power, of that daily miracle that comes every day from the hands of working people to reproduce life and, therefore, to eliminate that parasitic class that ruins the country and our lives. It  is meant to take the genie out of the bottle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is that working class that overcame the limits of the union organizations by dressing the immense and diverse proletariat with yellow vests. The same class was able to overthrow the decision of the leadership of its main union, which claimed that the vote on the European Constitution did not concern the working class. This forced the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) to actively call for the NO that was victorious [in 2005 \u2014 this victory was overturned by government edict]. That class renews the red thread of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like a furious gale, its powerful struggle is sweeping away all the rivers of ink poured out by the pen-pushers of power of all stripes or by those who settle for defeat, proclaiming the disappearance of the working class, the generational or gender rupture, the unbridgeable differences between the native and immigrant working class or the impossibility of fighting against the all-powerful repression of the state apparatus in the central countries of imperialism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The French working class, occupying the nerve center of the struggle and demonstrating its capacity to incorporate other popular sectors, has lit a very important fuse in the powder keg of a capitalism in its death throes, a capitalism that offers to the immense majority and above all to the youth nothing but misery, war and brutality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The working class of the peoples of Europe already has an open road and a precious example to follow that we must spread like a treasure. It is necessary to reveal, discuss and analyze in assemblies in the workplaces, in the trade unions, in the working-class neighborhoods, in the university . . . what the media use so much effort to hide or distort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is necessary to compare what is happening in France with what has happened and is happening here [in Spain \u2014 and similarly in the U.S. \u2014 WW]: with all the labor and pension reforms, with the cuts and privatizations of public services, with the high cost of living, with the military expenses imposed by NATO, and with the plans for the massive destruction of jobs. And above all to ask ourselves why the reaction here has been so weak or practically nonexistent and what relation it has with the loss of class independence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time is pressing, and we must not waste this shining example. We must shake off the impotence and the feeling of defeat and strengthen the workers\u2019 organization from the base. It will not be long before new attacks are attempted here. And it is not too much of an exaggeration to say that our lives depend on the strength with which we respond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One hundred and fifty-two years later, the embers of the Paris Commune continue to glow. Karl Marx thus ended his throbbing homage to the Commune and his stinging condemnation of the doomsayers of the end of history, in \u201cThe Civil War in France\u201d: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Paris of the workers, with its Commune, will be forever celebrated as the glorious harbinger of a new society. Its martyrs are enshrined in the great heart of the working class. History has already nailed its exterminators\u2019 history to that eternal pillory, from which all the prayers of their priests will not avail to redeem them<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
